This piece of juniper is the complementary half of Item 20090026 below. It is the lower half and has the remains of the roots.
Together they formed what was left after the tree was cut down and died. Axe marks are evidence of ranching prior to the days of chain saws. This tree was approximately 105 years old when it died. It is finely sanded and hand rubbed with linseed oil.
The piece sits level and could be used as a short stand. It is appox 12W 11D 7H.
